Life Be Lifing
Man oh man. I received a concerning diagnostic test result, and for a moment, I contemplated my mortality. However, there was a serenity in that moment that I had never experienced before. I realized that regardless of the outcome, I wouldn't be fazed, whether it was good or bad. Fortunately, upon second inspection, everything came back clear. The best part of this whole ordeal is that I realized there's nothing in my life that I regret not experiencing. I've truly lived life to the fullest and unapologetically so. I've traveled to every place I desired, except for The Netherlands and Japan. I've pursued every crush, driven every desired car, followed every passion, and loved deeply.
It made me understand that while goals are nice, lived experiences are what truly matter in the end, not material possessions or accolades. When I took my second test, I didn't think about religion, money, relationships, or career aspirations. Instead, I reflected on all the good I've done and the experiences I've cherished, knowing I've given more than I've taken. Live life to the fullest and strive to leave the world better than you found it.
In other news, our government has finally shown a united front by considering a potential ban on TikTok. While I'm not a fan of most social media platforms, except YouTube and Pinterest, to each their own. The societal pressures of rent, bills, low paying, soul crushing jobs, student loans, and debt is overwhelming. Why can't people just hold onto what little they have? If it were Pinterest or YouTube under threat, I'd likely be out in the streets protesting. It's disheartening. Unfortunately, some people rely on these platforms to cope, but this isn't the solution that I believe will be in the best interest of society. Spend more time with loved ones face to face, go outside for a walk, and laugh more with friends. Life is short, sometimes…very short. Remember, everything is temporary, whether it's love, life, or even TikTok. This too shall pass. 🖖🏽
